The visitors of last night’s first day of the Amnesia Rockfest festival in Montebello, QC were lucky to witness not only great performances of bands like Blink-182 or Weezer but also an extremely rare and special reunion of the original members of the band Reset. Reset was a band that started off in the early 90s with some of Simple Plan’s current members – Pierre Bouvier and Chuck Comeau, who were joined by their high school friend Phil Jolicoeur, and later on also by JS Bolieau. After one released record and after many disagreements with Pierre, Chuck left the band. It didn’t take very long until Pierre was fed up with the band too and left it as well and was replaced with David Desrosiers, who later on deserted to the newly formed Simple Plan.
While Reset still continues playing to this day (of course with a whole different line-up – but with Phil being the only original member left), the original members decided for the most unique reunion as for the first time it was not only Chuck and Pierre, but also David, who’s never played Reset songs live with his Simple Plan bandmates and with Phil by his side.
In the gallery you can already have a look at some of the first pictures from the Reset reunion that already appeared online – both from the concert and backstage. As you can see it was not only the Reset members who appeared at show, but some of their old friends from the Reset times came to cheer them on – such as Fred Jerome and Patrick Langlois.
