Simple Plan have mentioned a little while ago that they are planning to shoot not just one, but two music videos: the main reason being probably that the first video – for the song Can’t Keep My Hands Off You is not an official single, as we’ve informed you earlier. And even though there were no official words about the second music video, which is being shot today, the guys have revealed that they have mentioned its name a couple of times in the past.
Now, thanks to Kristen we’ve learnt that few days ago a model agency set in LA – Dreamland Talent Management – has released a tweet about them seeking for a female lead for the new Simple Plan music video – “Astronaut”!
Jeff from Simple Plan has also already confirmed that Astronaut will be their new music video.
Astronaut is one of the few officially confirmed song-titles, that has been previously mentioned by the band itself in numerous tweets. This news should mean we could expect Astronaut to be the first official single off the new Simple Plan album.
And what do we know about the music video itself? Well, according to the guys’ Twitter pages, the shoot is going to be (yet again) a night shoot – but this time the guys will be switching from “prom” locations to locations in desert.

Thanks to Mark for letting us know that as the female lead for the Astronaut music video has been cast Caitlin O’Connor, a model/actress, who has previously played in music videos of Michael Bublé or New Found Glory.
Caitlin has confirmed playing her part in Simple Plan’s music video on her official Twitter.
