Včera o půlnoci po celém světě vydali stálie pop-punkové scény Simple Plan, State Champs a We The Kings společnou píseň zvanou ‚Where I Belong‘. Svým stylem tato píseň připomíná spíše pop-punkovou stránku Simple Plan, kterou známe z podobných písní jako například Opinion Overload. Na jejím skládání se podílelo hned několik autorů, a to Andrew Goldstein, Chuck Comeau, Pierre Bouvier, Derek DiScanio (State Champs) a Zachary Joseph.
Jak jsme zmínili výše, jedná se o píseň, na jejíž tvorbě se podílelo mnoho umělců – včetně několika nečekaných překvapení. Samozřejmě na ní nalezneme práci všech členů Simple Plan v rámci jejich jim vlastních rolí v kapele, ale kromě nich propůjčili této písni trochu svého umu i další umělci. V rámci tzv. „gang vocals“, tedy hromadných vokálů nalezneme například kromě Pierra, Seba a Davida také Andrewa Goldsteina (zpěvák, skladatel a producent – jeden ze skladatelů této písně), Chadyho Awada (fotograf a kameraman Simple Plan) a Zakka Cervini (producent a mixér této písně). Kromě Pierrových vokálů pop-punkoví fanoušci jistě na polovině písně poznají i hlas Dereka DiScanio (hlavní zpěvák State Champs) a kromě nich se ve vokálech objevil i hlas Travise Clarka (hlavní zpěvák We The Kings). A nakonec, kromě Chuckových hlavních bicích se na písni překvapivě objevují také dodatečné bicí, které pro píseň nahrál Ilan Rubin, bubeník Nine Inch Nails a Angels & Airwaves.
