On Sunday, one of the most popular alternative touring festivals, Warped Tour, has closed its gates for the very last time, ending on a high note after 24 summers filled with great music, good times, always unpredictable weather and a very special atmosphere. The decision to end Warped Tour with a final cross-country run was announced by Kevin Lyman, Warped Tour’s founder, earlier this year and as such was met with emotional reactions from all around the world, since Warped Tour has over the years managed to become a staple in the alternative music community.
Simple Plan had the wonderful opportunity to be one of the bands who were a part of every single date of this two-months-long tour this year for the last time and on August 5th said goodbye to the Warped stage with a final set in West Palm Beach, FL. After the show, members of Simple Plan expressed their gratitude towards Kevin Lyman and the whole Warped Tour community for taking them under its wings from the very start. Not only thanks to that, Simple Plan have become the second most frequent band on Warped Tour’s lineup.
