One of the most emotional songs on Simple Plan’s self-titled album, was written by Pierre at the time when he was coping with the his brother Jay’s cancer. In the song, Pierre is expressing how powerless he felt, when he couldn’t do anything to make his brother feel better. Luckily, Jay is now completely cancer-free and even appeared in the music video for “Save You”, alongside other cancer survivors.

The “Save You” single has been released as a charitable single, with all the proceeds going to the Simple Plan Foundation which used them to support various centers and hospitals and most importantly to help cancer patients.
