Pierre Bouvier’s wife Lachelle launches new ‘Rock Wife’ podcast on Idobi radio

Through her Instagram Stories, some of you may have noticed that for the past couple of weeks, Lachelle Bouvier, the wife of Simple Plan’s lead singer Pierre, has been quite busy preparing a new podcast with the help of her husband. And finally, the podcast is all ready to go! Let us introduce you to ‘Rock Wife’ – a podcast by Lachelle Bouvier, which you will be able to listen to on Idobi radio (same station that hosts Seb’s & Pat’s podcast Man of The Hour) every Monday at 7pm EST. First episode should air starting next Monday, April 20th. But if you miss it, don’t fret – just like any other podcast, even this one should be later on available for download.

And what exactly will Lachelle’s podcast be about? Lachelle decided to use her experience as a wife of a rockstar and offer the public her own look at the nitty-gritty details of tour life. Besides her own stories, Lachelle will also be inviting other “rockstar wifes” to put their two cents in with their own experience. Check out the full description of the ‘Rock Wife’ podcast released already on the Idobi website:

Sneak backstage with Lachelle Bouvier, wife of Simple Plan’s lead singer, Pierre Bouvier, as she chats with some of the hottest ladies married to rockstars. She and her co-host “Sisterwife Sarah” discuss life on the bus, being on tour with families and what they fill their cups with backstage while their husbands are working. Nothing is off limits, from sex in a bunk to dealing with feminine issues at festivals. Rock Wife turns the mic to the ladies who support your favorite musicians.

New portraits of Sebastien and Jeff by Mike Oksman

Besides being Jeff’s and David’s guitar tech, Mike ‘Cowboy’ Oksman is also a talented photographer, who can often be seen photographing his fellow crew members and also members of Simple Plan (read more about him in the Crew section).

Sebastien and Jeff recently published some new amazing pictures takes by Cowboy on the recent NPNHJB tour in the United States. While Sebastien can be seen posing alone in black & white, Jeff’s picture also features his girlfriend Michèle.

Pierre at Sean Paul’s party at PRIVA club in Barbados

During Simple Plan’s stay in Barbados, where they were shooting their music video for Summer Paradise, Sean Paul hosted a party in a local nightclub called PRIVA this Tuesday, March 6th. Pierre Bouvier from Simple Plan and his girlfriend Lachelle Farrar showed up at the party as well and below you can check out some awesome black & white pictures from the event:

With how much the guys are travelling, it definitely can’t be the easiest thing to keep any relationships – with friends, family or girlfriends – working. The Canadian fashion magazine Flare sat down with Pierre right after he got back from his tour across Asia, to talk about touring, Canada and making long-distance relationships work.

You’ve toured all over the world. What can you only get in Canada that you look forward to?
Poutine and a good smoked meat sandwich.

Are Canadians the same across the country?
There are a few differences here and there but Canadians all have one thing in common: we’re very friendly people. It’s so easy to strike up a conversation with a stranger and end up becoming friends.

How do you pass the time when travelling?
We watch a lot of TV. I love Suits, Boardwalk Empire, American Dad and Bored to Death amongst others. It’s a great way to pass the time on those long flights and boring bus rides.

How do you maintain your relationship when you’re on tour?
Being in a relationship definitely comes with its challenges but it’s not too hard when you’re with someone who’s strong and smart and when you’re truly in love. It’s nice to have someone to talk to when times are tough on tour and coming back home is the best feeling when you know you have an amazing person waiting for you. If anything, it makes touring easier. I also believe that being apart sometimes reminds you how much you care and can’t be without the other, so in a weird way it can help a relationship.

Pierre at the protest against horse-drawn carriages

Not a long time ago, a protest against horse-drawn carriages took place in Canada. The march was organised by the alliance MassacreAnimal.org, which is against any sort of cruel actions against animals. Pierre, along with his girlfriend Lachelle and their dog Delilah, all attended this event. Check out the photos from this event (thanks to Mary) in our gallery:
