With the second leg of the European tour also comes some brand new merch items! So if you’re heading to any of the upcoming Simple Plan shows in Europe, besides some of the designs you already know, here you can have a look at some of the newest additions which you’ll be able to buy at SP’s merch booth:
Which t-shirt will YOU be getting?
There will also be plenty of the first leg items available – some of which you can also already purchase through Simple Plan’s official merchstore
SPB.net found out the name of the cartoonist who created the design for one of the most popular Simple Plan merch items on their new tour – which Pierre even wore on stage a couple times – the racoon t-shirt. You can purchase this t-shirt both at the merch stand at any Simple Plan show or online at MerchDirect.
The man behind the racoon design is Mathieu Beaulieu, an artist from Montreal, Canada, who recently started revealing some of the initial sketches of this design for Simple Plan both on his Instagram and his Dribble page – some of which were rejected. Check them out below:
Update: Mathieu Beaulieu confirmed that he is in fact currently working on another design for Simple Plan!
Last night, Simple Plan played in Toulouse, France, where they headed after their almost week-long stay in Spain. The whole day was all about promoting the band’s new merch. If you follow Simple Plan on Snapchat (simpleplanmusic), you could have already seen the video of The Bottom Line guys wearing Simple Plan’s new underwear line and jumping into a freezing pool. You can also see a pic from that moment here. Besides that, Pierre also wore another new Simple Plan t-shirt [see the image on the left] during the whole show, proudly representing his own band.
Once again, Simple Plan switched things up a litle bit with their setlist – for the first time they changed one of the older songs on it – instead of ‘Your Love Is A Lie’ the band performed ‘Take My Hand’ from the self-titled album and they also re-added ‘Farewell’ to the setlist. And it was during that particular show that David decided to jump down the stage and play his bass inside of the crowd [thanks Tiy for the info].
Check out the full setlist below:
Encore:
16. Shut Up!
17. Perfect World
18. This Song Saved My Life (acoustic)
19. Perfect
And some of the first pictures of the show in Toulouse, France, can already be found in the gallery:
You may recall that four years ago, Simple Plan teamed up with Kids Help Phone and together they came up with the “I Got A Heart On For You” t-shirt design, which was available for purchase with proceeds going to Kids Help Phone. This year, they partnered up again and created two new designs – one for men, one for women: and both of them including the “You Still Make My Crazy Little Heart Go Boom” quote from Simple Plan’s new song “Boom”.
You can purchase the t-shirt via Bluenotes below, and once again, all proceeds will be going to Kids Help Phone, which is a free Canadian counselling service for children and youth.
