Pierre opens up about private life, lead singer struggles and band’s history in a new podcast

The lead singer of the band Silverstein, Shane Told, hosts his own podcast called “Lead Singer’s Syndrome”, in which he interviews various lead singers of other bands about their problems, thoughts and stories. In the latest, seventh, episode of this podcast Shane just released, he included an almost hour-long interview with Pierre Bouvier that he recorded on Warped Tour in the U.S. this summer.

In this very open and most interesting interview, Pierre discussed some of the following things:

– Pierre and his now-wife Lachelle used to be in an open relationship for the first 1.5 years before getting serious and moving in with each other
– despite living in the USA, Pierre doesn’t ever want to ever give up his Canadian citizenship
– during the song-writing process, him and Chuck sometimes have slight troubles in communicating, which is one nof the reasons the process takes such a long time
– Pierre reminisced about the old Reset times and his friendship with Chuck; mentioned the song “Friend” he wrote about him as a revenge after his falling out with Chuck and also the whole history of quitting Reset and later being asked back by Chuck to join his new band and eventually stealing David from Reset too
– singing doesn’t come easy for Pierre – sometimes he even feels like a fraud cause the only reason he was the one in Reset to become a singer was because his voice was the one that “sucked the least”; besides that Pierre also opened up about his vocal trainings and what he now likes to do with his voice before shows
– Pierre admitted that one or twice he thought about starting a solo project on his own (alongside SP), but eventually he decided that rather than starting something new he didn’t know if it was going to be successful or not, he would rather focus on something that’s already successful (his band), and keep that going, give it everything he’s got and not endanger it with a solo project.

I definitely recommend you all to listen to this audio interview, as Pierre gives some very interesting details about the foremetioned topics:
